PowerKenpo students benefit from increased strength, speed, endurance and improved self-confidence.
Have you been looking for a great long-term fitness program that will engage your mind as well as your body? Would you like the increased confidence that comes with knowing that you can defend yourself and your family?
Start taking classes and you'll get faster, stronger, quicker, more flexible, and your endurance will improve. Your reflexes will become quicker and more controlled. Most importantly, you'll have fun. And because you'll be having fun, you'll find that it's easy to stick with it.
Kenpo has something that the other forms of exercise lack it engages your mind as well as your body. We like to say that you train in the art, and the workout is free.
Training for the long haul isn't easy. What can you do for 20, 30, or 40 years to stay in shape? In practice, you lose interest. You hit plateaus. And in the end, most people stop training. The average American loses 80% or more of his muscle mass between 18 and 50. But if you work out on a consistent basis, you can maintain the muscle mass, and maintain and increase your level of conditioning.
Not in shape now? Don't worry about it. This is a long term plan, and wherever you start, whatever your level of fitness, you'll get stronger, quicker, faster, and more flexible. It won't happen overnight but it will happen, and because you do it at a reasonable, sustainable pace, you'll be able to keep it once you get it. Start today and next week you'll be a little more fit. Gradually, without really thinking about it or working at it, you'll get in shape.
At PowerKenpo, we focus on the American Kenpo Karate style of training, but also offers classes in other disciplines such as Russian Systema, joint locks and throws (Aikido), sparring, mixed martial arts and basic self-defense.
